Q. What / who was NEW HOLE IN HER HEAD?

NHIHh was the band that NewType members BEN (Lead Guitar, Bass, Backing Vocals),
TOM (Bass), AARAN (Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Synth) and CRAIG (Vocals, Synths, Programming)
were all in together at one point or another prior to NewType which was formed way back
in the dark dark times of the mid to late 90's by AARAN, PETE  and BEN and which eventually
disintegrated at the end of 2002.

Q. Where they named after a porn movie?

No. They were named after a virtual reality soap opera called 'New Hole In Her Head'
from a passage in the cyberpunk novel COUNT ZERO (see below) by WILLIAM GIBSON.
 
       


Q. Who was in the band?

During the bands official four year existence NHIHh's line up featured:

Who later formed ANOTHER BURNING QUESTION with fellow future NewType's MATT
MOLESDALE and AARAN MOONEY.



CRAIG MOONEY on Vocals and Synthesizer:
Who later formed NewType with MATT
MOLESDALE, BEN OLIVIER and his brother AARAN.
 
AARAN MOONEY on Vocals, Guitar, Bass and Synths:
Who later played Bass and Backing Vocals in ANOTHER BURNING QUESTION
with fellow future NewType's MATT MOLESDALE and BEN OLIVIER before NewType was
formed with the addition of his brother CRAIG and TOM LI.

PETER CURRALL on Drums:
 Who can now be seen drumming for post hardcore champions AFTER.

A certain Mr. ROB DOBSON who played Guitar for a very brief period,
and - also for a very brief period -  a Mr. MATT BARTRAM on Drums:
 Both of whom now inhabit the strange but beautiful electro rock world of
DON'S MOBILE BARBERS. ROB also works at THE CARLOTTE
club/bar and live music venue.

The living hurricane that is JAMES SMART on Bass and Backing Vocals:

who now practically runs the art and design website TWISTED REALMS.
He is currently working on a new musical acoustic-electro project which is yet
untitled but which will no doubt be well worth looking out for.

TOM LI on Bass:
Who later joined NewType with fellow ex-NHIHh members BEN OLIVIER, and the brothers
MOONEY: AARAN and CRAIG. He's busy assembling a new band which is unamed as yet
and can be seen dancing like a mad bastard at the club RETRIBUTION in Leicester on most
friday nights (he's the half chinese cyber-boy with big hair).

And last, but by no means least, the mighty ED/WARD/BUD PEARSON on Lead Guitar:
Who went on to form the now defunct DRIVING ON PROZAC. He is currently working at
ROCK SOUND MAGAZINE as their 'Sales & Marketing Executive' and 'Online Ed' and
also edits and contributes to the online 'zine  AIRWAVES BACK.
